Sizes that suit Fairfield backyards
Big gatherings need floor space. For a large seated party, a long joined 6 m run (6x12 up to 6x30) or an 8 m run (8x8 up to 8x24) is common. As a rule of thumb, 100 guests at long tables need about 120 m², which is a 6x21 (126 m²) or an 8x16 (128 m²).

Guest numbers are an approximate guide using common industry rules of thumb: about 0.75 m² a person standing, 0.9 m² seated in rows, and 1.2 m² at long tables. Allow less if you add a bar, buffet or dance floor.
